Blackjack is maybe one the most popular and well known casino game of all times. It is seemingly a relatively easy game. The goal in blackjack is to get to 21 with the cards you've been dealt. Each blackjack player receives two cards. The face cards count for 10. The numbered cards are equal to their number. An ace can be either 11 or 1.
In a typical round of blackjack the player receives two cards which he can see and the dealer receives one card up and one down. Prior to the cards being dealt every gambler puts his bets for this round. Then each player can decide whether or not he wants to receive another card. The blackjack term for taking another card is "hit". You can also decide that you are satisfied with your cards. The term for holding your cards is "stay" or "hold".
After all cards have been dealt, the blackjack player that is the closest to 21 wins. If one exceeds 21 he loses. The term for that in blackjack is "busted". If there is a tie and both the dealer and one of the players have 21 it is a tie and all bets are returned.
